WHAT DOES THE TEMPERATURE RATING MEAN?
The rating technically shows consumers the minimum temperature for survival if they are in full thermals AND on a sleeping pad. Obviously, that doesn’t sound very comfortable so as a rule of thumb you should add 10-15 degrees to the rating for a minimum “Comfort Rating” temperature. Keep in mind that “comfort” is relative from one person to another and you still need to wear full thermals (and maybe even a sleeping pad) at those temperatures.
Example: A 20F sleeping bag is likely comfortable for camping in areas with higher than freezing temperatures
BOTH BAGS INCLUDED
When backpacking, small size is essential. Because of this, we have included a small 15L compression bag. This stuff sack will fit comfortably into most hiking packs.
However, insulation compressed for an extended period of time can damage the effectiveness of the fill. We recommend using the 35L Storage Bag for home storage between usage.

Cotton fuzz and confused
A lightweight and compact sleeping bag. In order to use this bag comfortably, it will need to be very cold (20-40 degrees), otherwise, you will start sweating and it wont be good. I used it for a 60 degrees temperature and I could not sleep with the zipper closed because I would start sweating and then I started getting cold. I could not let the zipper open because I would get could. The inside seems to be made from cotton. My clothes were full of cotton fuzz when coming out of the bag. I used it for 8 consecutive days and still have my cloth with cotton fuzz. Is very hard to pack in the beginning, but I found a way and now is easy.

Excellent value
Just got the sleeping bag after having gotten the 50 L backpack. Used it this summer on Cascade mountain hiking /camping trip. It worked extremely well and there’s no beating the price on both of these pieces. Excellent value. Definitely recommend.

Love this new sleeping bag!
Really impressed with this sleeping bag. Very comfortable flannel inside coupled with high end materials on the outside. Love the compression sack and is much easier to put back into the storage bag vs every other sleeping bag I have owned. Outside straps and tie downs allow for a very portable size when storing. Also love getting the two storage bags–sensible use case for each bag. Also feels great that a portion of the proceeds will be given back our vets–very classy and respectable.

compact and affordable
I haven’t tested it backpacking yet but I can tell you it’s comfortable to lay in, and the compression sack makes it compact enough to fit in my backpack. I haven’t attempted to place it back into the compression sack, so I can’t speak to the difficulty but to me, this seems like an awesome deal. I will update if I find my opinion to change

Superior customer service, durability and craftsmanship! Did not disappoint!
Well, I can begin by saying that I ordered 2 identical bags for my husband and son to take on their 12 day trek to the Philmont Scout ranch in NM from 7/3-15/19. It’s not a desert scenario, like most of you would think, but they hiked from 7,000 to 11,000 feet and there was snow on the Mountain in Mid-July. They needed a 20 degree sleeping bag that would keep them warm and be able to fit in their backpacks to be kept at a minimum of 55 pounds each while hiking. Upon their return my son, mentioned that the liner “fuzzed and pilled a lot”, leaving fibers on his clothes. Not too concerning, no big deal, but I just thought that I’d email the owner and let him know of my concern. He was FABULOUS…he gave me 2 options: to fully refund the purchase price and I keep the 2 bags, or give me a partial credit and send me 2 brand new bags with a different, synthetic liner that they had just starting ustilizing. My boys decided on the latter and I’m so glad that they did. The owner mailed them via FedEx immediately, (at his expense), and we couldn’t be happier. Let me remind you, the first 2 bags held up wonderfully during 11 days of camping, hiking, rain, snow, (and my boys being not able to take showers, they were pretty ripe when they got home). I hand washed them, they held up well during soaking in the tub, hand wringing them and line drying. So after all, I have to give this company and their sleeping bags 5 stars for… Superior quality, great value, durability and functionality. Plus, I’m supporting a veteran-based business here in the US and that’s important to me. You can’t find business owners who will stick their neck out for you, I really appreciate it. Hope it helps.

This was a Christmas gift for our son and loved it. He is anxious to try it.

Good value for a young Scout
Bought this for a young boy scout to use on cold camping trips. It is pretty good and has worked well down to the low 30s. He has not done any snow camping yet, but I suspect with a liner it would be good.We lost power/heat in the house for a few cold days, and he really liked sleeping in his bed with just the sleeping bag.

Amazing bag
Took the bag up the mountain for a four day horseback/hunting trip. I had just got it in so I didn’t know what to expect. I could not believe the quality, comfort, and warmth. Still a tad bigger than I hoped as we try to pack as small as possible, but that also comes with a 20 degree bag.

Great Bag – Comfortable & Warm
I bought this for my son, and he loves it. After three Scouting trips with him being warm and me being cold, I will be getting another bag for myself soon. The interior is like a moleskin fleece and feels good to the touch. Great product! Support our Veterans!

Poor Zipper (Revised)
Just used this sleeping bag out in the mt. of Colorado for a week while I was Elk hunting. temperatures got down to the upper 20’s and I was able to stay warm enough with a pair of long underwear on with sleeping on a R4.4 blow up mat. However one night I woke up freezing as the zipper seam popped open and it took me a good 15 minutes to get both the zipper ends back to the bottom to re-zipper the bag.Revised:Great customer service and sent me a new bag free of charge. Check out the zipper and it seems to be in great shape and no issues with it at this time.I also noticed one flaw in the zipper design. If the first zipper is all the way up you can actually disconnect the bottom zipper by closing it beyond the limit and than the bag will come open and you have to fight to get the top zipper back down to zip it back up properly.

Comfortable & convenient!
Flannel lining is very comfortable. Packs well into a compact size in the compression bag and feels pretty lightweight. The mesh storage bag comes in handy for home storage in between uses. Internal zip pocket is a nice addition. Overall a great product!

Not warm at 20F
Bought 2 of these for my 2 boys. Took them camping. These bags say they’re good down to 20F. My bag was down to 15F and I was warm with no extra clothes on. My boys complained that they were cold, and they don’t usually complain. This wasn’t extremely cold weather either, it was around 50F. I looked at one bag and thought I saw light shining through the material… Too late to return now, will probably just keep these around for visitors to sleep inside or sell in a garage sale or something.

Good quality.
The material looks sturdy. It is nice to have 2 bags one large and one small. I have not used it in cold weather. I have a Kelty Tuck 22 degree. Compared to that it is thicker and the inside shell is more comfortable bit it is slightly heavier. I like the string around the neck area with extra insulation to tighten the sleeping back around the neck to keep the body heat. There is also a string in head cover to cover the head tightly leaving only for the nose area to breathe. Overall the quality is great. Although the zippers are adequate I found the one on Kelty is thicker and smoother. Otherwise I would have given this bag 5 stars.

Not bulky, comfortable
These sleeping bags are very comfy. They are easy to carry and are warm. My only concern is that they may not be warm enough for 20 degree weather as it says. I haven’t tried it in such cold weather yet, though i am skeptical, as they look a bit thin for that much cold weather. I can update my review after I try it.

Very happy with these bags
We ordered two sleeping bags and are very happy with our choice. They have not been used outside yet but our teenage boys seem to think they will be just fine for camping.

Terrible Stuff Sack
For the money the sleeping bag is mediocre. The poly-fill is loose but the bag is comfortable. It is fairly heavy and will take up quite a bit of space in a backpack, but kayak campers or vehicle campers will be fine. I have serious doubts as to the ability of this bag to keep a person warm at 20 degrees F, but I have yet to test it out at that temperature range. The stuff sack can get stuffed!! two of the four tightening straps ripped off on my first attempt to tighten the sack. I need the bag as small as possible, and the stuff sack is about as bad as it gets. I suppose it keeps the bag in a single sack, but without the compression, it’s worthless in my opinion. Again for $60 it’s ok, but if you really want a good bag for camping this is a mediocre bag, if your backpacking or need this bag as small as possible, you can forget it with this one. I used parachute cord to tighten the stuff sack -not ideal- since the straps ripped off on my FIRST tightening attempt. I think the best use of this bag would be a kids/teens sleep over party. Camping with this bag was ok, until you have to pack it into a backpack.

Comfortable and warm. Solid build.
Took this mummy bag on my latest camping trip. Love the color and classic style. The interior was very comfortable. Feels like those t-shirt type sheets. Kept me warm through the night. I was very impressed with the zipper function, both inside and out. Also, the packabilty and ease in returning the bag to its compression sack was a big positive. Highly recommended. Thoroughly enjoyed!

Very warm, hard to compress.
This kept me very warm during my trip. Only lost one Star because you’ll have a very hard time getting it back into the compression sack. The material is very slippery on itself so rolling it up tends to make the middle roll shoot out. I eventually gave up and just jammed it into the space I had left in my backpack.

Good value for the average sized person.
Great product for the price. It worked well in pretty cool temps while on a back country elk hunt in Washington this September. It’s a bit small for me. I’m 6’ and 240 lbs and I had some difficulty zipping it all the way up!

Overall Great
So I used this bag twice on some recent backpacking trips in Idaho. Overall great bag. I would say that, at least for me, below 35 degrees would require another lower rated bag. It does say 20, but I found that during my nights I woke up a couple times chilly in the bag and it was prob right at around 35-36 degrees. The decompression bag began ti tear at one of the seems where the ribbon attaches so may need a new one. Overall great bag and happy I got it.

Worked well in cold weather
I purchased this sleeping bag days before my son was going camping and temps were dropping into the teens with windchill. It worked out perfectly. He was warm both nights, comfortable and loved the bag. He did, however, have a hard time getting it back in the small bag, fortunately it also comes with a larger bag. I can do it no problem, but he really didn’t have time to practice before his campout. The quality is great and it kept him warm in unexpected cold temps.

That it was light weight and temperature endurance.
This was a gift for young grandson who asked for it. Is a young scout and wanted for scout campouts. It appeared to offer the right needs temp, etc. Favorite color. Sorry that I can’t complete survey because it’s a Christmas gift.
